What's going onin my studio right now

The image above tells a little about what I have been working on lately...creating new "in-use" designs for my formidable and visionary Canadian customer. I have been feeling bold and extravagant lately and I am translating that in all the newest jewelry pieces. I want them to be big and serious and I am making little beaded flower rings to start with.

But that is not all..last week was hectic in my studio, and messy...I made 4 pieces and send to Create Your Style with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS to be considered for some of the activities during the CYS Show in Tucson 2012. I hope to be part of that again.

The necklace below is from a small collection I designed for a Brazilian customer form Sao Paulo. I incorporated stainless steel modern beads with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS on two of my favorites colors at this moment, and a touch of organza ribbon to make it more feminine and French-patisserieesque.

Barnes and Noble review

My book got its first costumer review on Barnes and Noble.com and it's really mindblowing to read positive comments and find out what words were used to evaluate your work.
Here it is:

"An explosion of unique fashionable jewelry designs"

"If you are looking for incredible creation ideas, this is a book that I strongly invite you to buy. The very interesting association of materials, shapes and colours is a real pleasure for eyes and truly develops a rich and creative imagination."
A.Homes

I have to illustrate this post with one of the designs form the book so I picked one of the necklaces she had mentioned on a private message she sent me to be one of her favorites- "Bougainvillea".
Sad thing is that she had to wait for more than a month to get the book.
Fyi,  you can buy my book directly from my website now and pay with all major credit cards and PayPal. It does cost more than all the other places that are selling it but you get a signed copy and an extra personal vibe with it...lol

It's always in my mind

Lately, I have been reminiscing a lot about Italy ...basically remembering all the places we have visited during our fabulous journey on Italian soil. Not only the food and wine and the architecture but the vibe, the colors and that endless thirsty for life and joyful days.
Today I want to pay homage to this place where we planted seeds of happiness, friendship, camaraderie and on top of all hope for better days.

"La amore eh la cosa pio forte del mondo."
